The Pinehurst School Foundation exists to fund and sustain excellence in the Pinehurst School District, by cultivating community investment in order to enrich and sustain student education and success.
Pinehurst School District relies on the generosity of our community to bridge the gap between state and federal funding and the programs our students deserve. Through the Foundation, we are able to offer part-time music, art, outdoor education, and media programs that bring learning to life.
The Foundation board meets every other month to plan fundraisers and pursue grant opportunities. Throughout the year, board members and volunteers work side by side with students to host events that have provided vital support for projects such as:
- Outdoor education field trips to the Grand Canyon, Channel Islands, Yosemite, and Olympic National Park
- Installation of the Pinehurst teaching garden and outdoor classroom
- Creation of the Laurie Grupé Art Center Classroom
- Purchase of computers, software, and other technology
- Support for guest instructors and self-directed learning programs
- Purchase of keyboards and other musical instruments
By fostering community spirit and generosity, the Foundation ensures that Pinehurst students have opportunities to explore, create, and succeed.
Your support makes these experiences possible and helps us provide these extraordinary opportunities for every Pinehurst student.
